  • Anyeol was born in Shenyang, Yuan Dynasty, in the 3rd year of King Chungsuk's reign (1334), the 2nd son of three sons and one daughter between his father Ryang and his mother Kwak. Ryang’s 1st son was Anbaek, and Ryang’s 3rd son was Anseo. When Sunje of Yuan Dynasty was ‘Jijung’ (the 3rd period of Emperor Sunje of Yuan 1341~1367), Emperor Sunje of Yuan ordered Wangki as King Gongmin and Princess Noguk as Queen. Yodongrok (the records of Liaodong region搖動錄) has the following record: The Red Turbans revolted, and the Yuan king wanted to send Princess Noguk to another country, as he saw a future in which Princess Noguk would harm the Yuan Dynasty.

  • Anyeol was the 2nd son of Ryang and the progenitor of Wonju Byun(원주변씨시조 原州邉(邊)氏 始祖). When Princess Noguk, the 7th generation descendant of Genghis Khan of the Yuan Dynasty, came to Goryeo from Yuan with Sook’s uncle Anyeol and Anseo, the 2nd son of Anbaek, Sook, to marry King Gongmin, Princess Noguk(Yuan Dynasty)  was accompanied by 3 generals and 8 officials. The six scholars are So Gong(공소孔紹), Sook Byun(변숙邊肅), Yeong Hwangbo(황보영 皇甫榮), Gyu Gam(감규甘揆), Eok Dokgo(독고억獨孤億), and Seokgi Hwang(황석기黃石奇). Sook came to Goryeo and received the Hojojeonseo (戶曹典書, currently Minister). Anyeol made great achievements three times and became Wonchun (region name) Buwongun (currently, Deputy Prime Minister). King Gongmin of Goryeo granted Anyeol his hometown or Wonju Byun Clan's main building as Wonju. It seems that Anyeol married the Wonju Won clan and made Wonju his main building.

  • At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang (주원장 洪武帝 朱元璋) raised cavalry from the north of the Ming Dynasty and attacked Liaodong, making it impossible to move north and south, so Anyeol could not go to the Yuan Dynasty from Goryeo. In the original text, it is written, 'I can't go to ‘Jungwon (Zhongyuan中原)’ because Zhu Yuanzhang blocks the road.' However, Jungwon(Zhongyuan中原)' does not mean 'name of country' but 'region'. Jungwon(Zhongyuan中原) refers to the Luoyang Basin or the region of the East Asian continent. Anyeol and Sook laid their shoulders on each other's shoulders and looked up at the sky, mourning and crying. “Why doesn't Heaven take care of us? Zhu Yuanzhang's army blocked the road, making it impossible for fathers and mothers, brothers, wives, and children to know whether they were alive or dead. During the war, only the soul is leaving, the heart is dying, and the stomach is being torn apart,” Anyeol and Sook mourned.

  • On July 16 of the 25th year of Hongmu in the Ming Dynasty and the 4th year of King Gongyang (1392), Seonggye Lee, the 1st king of Joseon, established Joseon and held a ceremony to become king at Suchang Palace (August 4, 1392). All the servants participated, but Anyeol did not participate. Anyeol said. “As a person from Yuan dynasty, I am content to serve Princess Noguk. Why do you make me serve two kings?” In the original text, it says 'I am Chinese (Zhongguo 중국中國인)'. However, at that time, 'China中國' did not mean 'the Name of a Country' but a 'Region'. At that time, the Yuan Dynasty occupied the East Asian Continent, so it was written as 'China中國'. In other words, the 'East Asian Continent' was expressed as 'China' (Region Name).

  • The Joseon Dynasty arrested the soldiers, killed Anyeol, and put all Anyeol's family in prison and killed them. Sook went to Byeokrando (Nam-myeon, Paechon County) with Sook's son, Eulchung, to farm and live until he passed away. Paekchon was called Peachon.

  • When the Red Turbans (later to establish the Ming Dynasty) invaded Goryeo, Anyeol defeated the Red Turbans with General Anwoo in 1361 (the 10th year of King Gongmin 's reign) and was awarded the Pansobugamsa (2nd-class contributor, now Vice-Minister level), Yeuipanseo (As a meritorious official, currently Minister). Anyeol conquered Jeju Island with General Young Choi as a Panmiljiksasa (currently, Major General), and then served as a Munhapyeongri (currently, a Minister). Anyeol defeated Japanese pirates during the reign of King Woo of Goryeo and became Munhachanseongsa (currently, Deputy Prime Minister). After driving out Japanese pirates of Andong and Danyang, Anyeol was given the title of Wonchun Buwongun (currently, Deputy Prime Minister) and became Pansamsasa Yeongsamsasa (currently, Deputy Prime Minister).  Anyeol’s sons were named Hyeon (顯), Lee (頤), and Ye (預). Daeeun Anyeol Tomb was at San 197, Yongjeong-ri, Jingeon-eub, Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The organization of the Anyeol tomb manager is Hwasuhoe, and the contact information is 82-2-765-7766-9785.
