Brief Introduction

  • Eungzou's wishes for descendants: Preservation of one's hard-earned wealth by one's descendants.

  • Eungzou is the 22nd generation of the Wonju Byun clan, the 21st generation of the Wonju Byun clan's Duke Jeonseo faction, and the 14th generation descendant of the Wonju Byun clan's Duke Cheomji faction. He lived during the Japanese colonial period and the South Korean era. His wish during his lifetime was to live diligently and frugally so that all his descendants would live without financial difficulties. Eungzou liked to organize things and always had a habit of taking notes in a notebook. He always kept records of everything and had records of all financial conditions for more than five years. He also was frugal by recycling items he used once. In addition, Eungzou was good at praising the other person during official appearances. Eungzou has the ability to make the other person feel good and allow the other person to decide for themselves in the direction they want to go. However, he gave strict instructions to his family members rather than praising them. When Eung-ju turned 70, he traveled the world with his spouse Haejung Shim. He believes that it must have been a meaningful trip because Haejung helped him well, took good care of his parents-in-law, and raised his children well. Eungzou had a stocky physique when he was young, but by the time he was around 70 years old, he weighed over 90 kg or 198 lb and was 178 cm or 5 ft 10 in tall. Looking at him, one could be overwhelmed by his large physique. He liked the food of his hometown, Kaesong, especially salted seafood, bulgogi, ribs, pressed rice, steamed eggs, salted shrimp, seafood, various types of soup, and liked red bean bread and coke. He especially enjoyed drinking cold water with ice, and ice water was always by his side.
